Dead Paint Society started in Florida, where the sun kills paint faster than almost anywhere. Hoods go chalky. Roofs go gray. Red turns pink and black turns charcoal. Drive around any Florida town and you will see it on every other car in the parking lot.
The usual answers were never good enough. Wax wears off in a few weeks. Polishing takes a machine, a whole weekend, and a skill most people do not have time to learn. And a respray at a body shop can cost more than the car is worth.
So we went looking for a better way. Something you could apply by hand, in your own driveway, without a spray gun or a booth, and get a real glossy finish back. That search became Wipe On Clear Coat.
